Biodegradable Glass Cleaners When evaluating glass cleaners, important environmental considerations include toxicity, whether or not the product is biodegradable, if it contains petroleum distillates, and the recyclability of its packaging. For everyday household projects, try making your own glass cleaner using two teaspoons white vinegar to one quart of warm water. Apply with a natural linen towel or other soft cloth.
